Lancashire based Northern Heart Films are using their experience and emotive storytelling skills to help charities share positive good news stories during the pandemic. Their recent film for ‘Active Lancashire’ made by utilising mobile phone recordings and a bespoke poem has been one of the charity’s most successful films to date.

“Northern Heart Films were given a very short time frame and limited brief to capture how the Spar Lancashire School Games has adapted during lockdown. What they came up with and the end result was phenomenal. The video has been recognised nationally, and received such positive feedback.” It’s the heart warming personal style of a Northern Heart film that really speaks to audiences right now. I’d highly recommend other charities get in touch with Northern Heart.
Everyone loves a good news story and what’s amazing right now is seeing how organisations are adapting their workflow to continue offering help to people during these turbulent times. There are a number of ways to share these stories and film is a great option to help show all the good work being done.
After the recent success from the Active Lancashire project Northern Heart Films are now working on another similar project for Curious Minds to celebrate the digital only ‘Festival of Hope’, which went live in early August.
