Sheffield DocFest joins our fight in supporting new talent

One of the world-leading documentary film festivals, Sheffield DocFest is supporting us to develop new talent. As part of our amazing Doc Fund prizes, we'll now be able to provide each winner with an industry pass to one of the world-leading documentary film festivals right here in the North!

It's the perfect opportunity to explore award-winning documentaries, rub shoulders with industry, and be inspired by thought-provoking talks.

“Sheffield DocFest has a history of supporting UK talent, and telling Northern stories, such as our 2023 opening night film Tish, or 2022 audience award winner A Bunch of Amateurs.  When we saw the work that Northern Heart are doing to support the next generation of independent filmmakers working against the odds we jumped at the chance to support this scheme and we look forward to meeting the winners at our 31st edition!”
