Co-Founder Natasha named a Future leader at the NPWA

Co-Founder and Creative Director of Northern Heart, Natasha Hawthornthwaite has been selected on the Future List at the prestigious Northern Power Women Awards 2024. The Future List, sponsored by Bentley Motors, recognises future leaders and change makers in the North.

Natasha and fellow Future List winners celebrated in style on Tuesday night at the Manchester Central. It was an incredible evening hosted by Nina Hossain, TV personality and journalist. The annual event spotlights Northern Role Models, innovators, disruptors and leaders who identify as female.

According to Northern Power Women Awards it is the largest celebration of gender equality in Europe! The awards ceremony is now in it’s eighth year and is actively shining a light on purpose-driven business for good all year round with a bunch of events and support networks to help female leaders to grow.

Northern Heart, Co-Founder Natasha Hawthornthwaite says:

“There’s so many amazing women in the North actively doing incredible things so I feel pretty humbled to make this list. Being recognised in this way only makes me want to do more good in the North and to help other female filmmakers thrive in an industry that still has a gender imbalance.”

The event was attended by a host of inspiring role models including Manchester Corinthians Ladies Football Club, a team of rebels who defied the FA ban on women playing football during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s - becoming world superstars and beating the likes of Germany and Juventus.

Simone Roche, MBE, CEO of We Are Power adds:

The truly exceptional line up of 2024 winners demonstrate everything we stand for: gender equality, diversity, business for good and prosperity. They show the enormous impact people can have on their industries and communities. The awards grow each year and we’re proud to showcase stand out leadership and incredible role models. Celebrating the power women of the North!
